Our classes use very little PowerPoint and a lot of interactive simulations. No one wants to teach in front of a class of smart but bored people, and they don't want to be taught that way either. By the use of interactive games and simulations we can create an environment of experiential learning.

An international family

We are distant, but we constantly work together. We are distributed in more than 10 countries around the world but meet up bi-monthly for 2 or 3 days of collaboration, exchanging ideas, aligning our approaches and, naturally, to have lots of fun!

We love our strange name

The name agile42 is an homage to Douglas Adams. Our official company motto is "Don't Panic", which is very helpful in a lot of client situations. :-) Our newsletters usually end with a quote from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy we are great fans.
"Thanks for all the fish!"

Lots of talk and lots of action

We organize meet-ups, we talk at conferences, we engage with the community. Come and join us, especially if you don't agree with what we say. There is nothing we like more than being challenged and having passionate conversations.

Grownups with crayons

We draw and sketch to make ideas flow faster. We use visual facilitation techniques to develop concepts collaboratively. Every client is different, so we create materials unique to their situation and we are proud that our clients keep this material on their walls!

All together now

Partners, kids, friends are all an important part of the agile42 family. They remind us of what's really important in life. You can see these extended family members at our gatherings, celebrations and our annual innovation week. And they usually bring great ideas too!

Peter has worked with iterative and incremental software development processes since 1999, focusing on Scrum and Agile practices since 2006. In 2007 he started Scrum Sense in South Africa. He has introduced Scrum into scores of development teams locally and in Brazil. He leads certified Scrum training classes in South Africa and elsewhere. He is a Certified Scrum Coach and Certified Scrum Trainer.
